As a people partner at Google, Austin Hope serves as a trusted executive coach and strategic advisor to senior leadership across Global Security & Resilience Services and the chief economist’s team, driving talent management, leadership effectiveness, org design, and culture. Austin previously spent seven years on Google’s Executive Compensation team and began his career as an executive compensation consultant at Mercer. A dedicated alumnus, he serves on the College of Sciences Advisory Board, leads local community initiatives as a member of his local chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and delivered the keynote address at the 2026 Spring College of Sciences Commencement. Hope lives in Roswell, Georgia, with his wife, Shari, and their two sons, Austin II and August.

Georgia Tech represents the pinnacle of education in one of the country’s most culturally diverse and vibrant cities. It didn’t just build me up with a rigorous academic foundation — it expanded my perspective. Tech exposed me to people, ideas, and experiences I likely never would have encountered otherwise, all of which have deeply enriched both my career and my life.
